Of all the desserts I've ever made, Oreo truffles are one of my absolute favorites! I've been making them for years, and they're my go-to treat for fun occasions. This time around though, I decided to switch things up a little bit and make these truffles scream "Happy Valentine's Day!" So, instead of round white truffles, I made pink heart truffles!
Start by crushing the Oreos into almost a powder. It's easiest to do this by blending a handful of Oreos at a time in a blender. Use your hands to combine the Oreo powder in a bowl with the cream cheese, until you have a giant Oreo ball (this gets messy)! Break off small pieces of the Oreo ball and form them into hear shapes that will fit inside the candy mold.
Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler and add red candy melts until you get your desired shade of pink. Spoon the pink chocolate into the candy molds, filling them only 2/3 of the way up. Put your Oreo hearts into the chocolate in the molds then cover the tops with more pink chocolate. Put the trays in the freezer for the chocolate to harden (this only takes about 10 minutes).
Once the candies are hardened, use a knife to break off any excess chocolate around the edges. It should break off fairly easily. Keep the candy in the fridge until ready to eat. Bon Appetit!
Mmmm...oreo + cream cheese. WOW!
