Be forewarned that this look takes some patience, as it's very important to let each coat dry completely before moving onto the next. I started with a white base coat, then used scrapbooking tape to create the stripes using Essie's "Turquoise and Caicos". Again, I used the tape as a guide for the pink "Cute as a Button" stripes, and then drew the hearts with a toothpick and a steady hand.
What do you think? Would you paint your nails like this for Valentine's day, or are you more likely to try something a little more subtle?

Super cute, great color choices! What do you photograph on? A green piece of paper? Nice! I do NOT have the patience for nail art. I haven't painted my nails in months!! I like a simple swipe of color :).
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! That background is actually just a craft box that I happened to have at my house. I like to be resourceful :) I can only do the nail art every now and then because I don't have too much patience either. There's nothing wrong with a one color look!
DeleteWow - yes I can see how that would take a lot of patience, but it is cute!
