Homemade White Hot Chocolate Recipe

I have been on the biggest hot chocolate kick of my life these last couple of weeks! Partly because it's been so cold out lately, and partly because I sorta, kinda stopped drinking coffee, (during the work week anyway) but still want a warm beverage in the morning. Who am I kidding? I need the hot chocolate because without my coffee I don't have a good excuse to start my day with that much sugar! I'm pretty sure I was more addicted to the sugar than I was the coffee. Moral of the story: I'm now addicted to hot chocolate.

While I was walking in the cold the other day, wishing i had a cup of cocoa, I wondered if I could just whip up a homemade recipe. But, instead of regular hot chocolate, I decided to try white hot chocolate with a special ingredient. Instead of using just white chocolate chips, I decided to throw some Lindor Truffles into the mix. A whole bag of them, in fact. This recipe is super easy and takes all of 5 minutes to make. And just a warning, it's probably really really unhealthy, but it's sooo yummy!

In a medium sauce pan combine and heat the milk, cream, and vanilla, but don't bring to a boil. When the mixture is hot, add the truffles, and white chocolate chips and stir until completely melted. Vary the amount of truffles / white chocolate chips you use depending upon how sweet you want your hot chocolate to be. Pour the hot chocolate into a pretty mug and finish it off with some whipped cream. You should be warmed up and have a satisfied sweet tooth in no time!
