Since Thanksgiving is only a few days away, I thought I should share a recipe that you might want to try out for the delicious holiday. I have to say, this honey butter recipe is by far the easiest recipe I've ever made. The time it took to get from preparation to tasting was all of 5 minutes, so if you want an easy way to add a little something extra to your bread and butter, give it a whirl!
This recipe was inspired by the short time I spent as a hostess at The Fireside Grille restaurant while in college. They served their bread with honey butter there, and I thought it was the best thing I'd ever tasted. While reminiscing about my college days recently, I recalled my days at the Fireside and how that yummy bread and butter was a staple in my diet back then. And then I wondered if I could make it myself...
INGREDIENTS:
In a small mixing bowl beat 1 stick of softened butter until it is almost fluffy. To soften the butter let it sit out for a little while, but do NOT melt it.
Next, add 2 tablespoons of honey and continue to beat the butter until well mixed. Then spoon the butter into a small dish to serve.
That's all there is to it! I told you it was easy... not to mention oh-so-delicious!
