Apple Picking at Brooksby Farm

This past weekend I went to Brooksby Farm in Peabody, MA for a fun day of apple picking. The orchard was huge and we had tons of fun wandering throughout the grounds. I haven't decided what I'm going to make with all of my apples yet, but you can count on knowing about it when I finally do!

Since we made it there just in time for the end of the picking season, I had to call on my inner Katniss Everdeen to get the best of the apples that were left at the tops of the trees. Those tree branches had nothing on me!

After we were done picking, we headed inside the Farmstore for some fresh-out-of-the-oven cider dontus and apple cider...yummm! The store was full of so many other delicious treats, it was very difficult to not try everything. We sat at a picnic table outside to eat our donuts and watch the farm animals run around - they had emus, llama, chickens, and sheep. I think we'll be going back next year!

  1. So fun! Last year was my first time apple picking and I'm pretty bummed that I can't go this year! I miss the fall activities of the northeast already! Still HOT here in New Orleans!

    1. Thanks for stopping by Ciera. Such a bummer that you can't enjoy the fall activities down in New Orleans, but perhaps you can life vicariously through my posts when you find yourself missing out on the New England seasons!
