First Project!

 My first item on the new blog is a sewing project. A new dress! Dresses can be tough especially with zippers and all that hemming (blehk!) but the pretty fabrics and end results usually make up for it.

Got my materials together.

This is the top half which I started last week.

After cutting out the pieces of fabric that would
make the bottom half of the dress I did a little
gathering to make the pretty scrunch effect.

Sewing away.

Minor setback with a broken needle. Dang!

Top of the dress meet bottom of the dress.

And Voila!
